Academic Coordinator
Location: Providence, RI, USA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: 27.5 USD/hour
About the Role:
We are looking for an Academic Coordinator to join our client's team in the higher education sector. In this role, you will contribute to administrative support, event coordination, academic program facilitation, and departmental communications management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level administrative support for faculty, including coordination of promotions, appointments, and faculty searches.
- Assist students with graduate program requirements and provide support for various academic committees.
- Coordinate departmental events, including logistics, travel arrangements, and expense management.
- Manage departmental communications, including website and social media updates.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of expertise and education.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in an academic setting.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Suite; knowledge of Workday and Asana is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications (if any)
- Experience in event coordination and expense reimbursement.
- Familiarity with admissions application management and social media management.
