What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spring Semester Architectural Intern position at SGA Design Group?
SGA is seeking an engaged and motivated Architectural Intern for a spring semester Preceptorship. This position offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment serving major national brands. As a preceptorship intern, you will work closely with architects, designers, and project managers on a variety of project types—including ground-up buildings, remodels, and specialty projects—while gaining exposure to real-world workflows and professional practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation and development of construction documents under the guidance of project architects.
• Support design efforts through drafting, modeling, and preparing presentation materials.
• Participate in internal project meetings to learn about scheduling, coordination, and client expectations.
• Conduct research related to materials, building codes, and project requirements.
• Help maintain project documentation and quality control standards.
• Collaborate with team members across disciplines to support project delivery.
• Contribute to a positive and proactive studio culture.
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in an accredited Architecture program (4th year or above).
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a professional office environment.
