Restraints Engineer

SG Talent are exclusively working with a motor vehicle engineering-focused company building advanced solutions across EV, autonomous systems, controls, embedded software, and full vehicle integration.

We’re seeking a Restraints Engineer - Interior Systems tto lead the design, testing, and launch of airbags, seatbelts, and curtain systems. The ideal candidate has 8 years’ experience, Catia expertise, and strong knowledge of safety and quality standards to ensure reliable, compliant, and innovative occupant protection.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support engineering, testing, and launch build activities for restraint systems (airbags, seatbelts, curtain airbags, etc.).
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure data upload into OEMs systems and timely tooling support.
• Lead DV/PV testing phases and drive fast resolution of issues.
• Manage part updates, feasibility changes, and obtain B-Release for restraint parts.
• Provide on-site build support and issue resolution through development phases.

Preferred experience and skills

• 8 years in engineering interior restraint systems across all development phases.
• Proficiency in Catia (data handling, sectioning).
• Strong understanding of restraint system requirements.
• Experience in DV/PV testing and issue resolution.
• Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• OEMs systems knowledge (preferred).
