Job Overview
We are hiring a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to generate pipeline for our Managed IT Services (MSP), Cybersecurity, and CMMC compliance offerings.
This role focuses on outbound prospecting, inbound lead follow‑up, and targeted email campaigns—engaging defense contractors, manufacturers, and regulated businesses to identify security and compliance needs and book qualified meetings for senior sales and technical leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Perform outbound prospecting via phone, email, and LinkedIn for MSP, cybersecurity, and CMMC services
Respond promptly to inbound sales inquiries and marketing leads
Qualify prospects based on cybersecurity risk, compliance requirements (CMMC Level 1 & 2), and contract timelines
Conduct structured discovery conversations focused on business risk, compliance gaps, and security posture
Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives, Security Consultants, or vCIOs
Execute and manage outbound email campaigns supporting CMMC readiness, security assessments, and managed services
Track email engagement, responses, and follow‑up activities
Maintain accurate CRM records including notes, qualification details, and next steps
Collaborate with sales, technical, and compliance teams to ensure accurate messaging
Meet or exceed activity, pipeline generation, and meeting‑set goals
Required Qualifications
1–3 years of experience as an SDR, BDR, inside sales rep, or B2B customer‑facing role
Strong phone, email, and virtual communication skills
Ability to ask smart, security‑ and compliance‑focused discovery questions
Comfortable speaking with executives, IT managers, and operations leaders
Strong organizational skills and follow‑through
Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and common business tools
Preferred Qualifications
Experience selling MSP, IT services, cybersecurity, SaaS, or compliance solutions
Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals (MFA, endpoint security, backups, access controls)
Exposure to CMMC, NIST 800‑171, HIPAA, or SOC 2 frameworks a bonus
Experience working with defense contractors, manufacturing, engineering, or regulated industries
Experience running outbound email sequences and sales campaigns
Hands‑on experience with Apollo.io, GlassHive, or similar sales engagement tools
Familiarity with structured sales methodologies (MEDDICC, SPIN, Challenger, etc.
