Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Construction Site Superintendent, where you'll lead and oversee small to medium scale commercial construction projects from start to finish. You will coordinate daily operations, supervise crews, ensure safety compliance, and deliver projects on time and within budget. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and blueprint reading will drive project success while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and safety protocols
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to streamline workflows and resolve issues promptly
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using ProCore construction management software to ensure timely completion
- Monitor daily site operations to uphold OSHA standards and enforce safety policies among all personnel
- Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work progress, reviewing schematics and blueprints, and ensuring compliance with design specifications
- Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment usage such as ohmmeters for electrical testing, and site layout planning
- Conduct weekly site meetings to communicate progress updates, safety concerns, and upcoming milestones
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Superintendent in commercial or heavy civil projects with a strong background in construction management software like ProCore similar tools
- Extensive knowledge of construction management practices including project scheduling, budgeting, plan reading, shop drawings, and quality control
- Supervising experience with a track record of leading diverse teams on active construction sites
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment
- Ability to read technical drawings and shop drawings accurately; experience with electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels
