Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Clerk/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service while assisting with phone calls, organizing the front of the pharmacy as well as making sure the OTC/candy/soda area is filled. The ideal candidate will have experience in a pharmacy setting, particularly in community/retail pharmacy environments, and possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and excellent patient care and communication. We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and caring leader who can communicate effectively with others.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with prescription pick-up and inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer service.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
- Support pharmacy staff with medication intake, including managing the front OTC counter/candy/soda area and managing inventory.
- Multi-task well by managing the front with walk-in patients, phone calls, and organizing medication to be picked up.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy area to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Communicate well with patients and answer phone calls.
- Organize the front of the pharmacy neatly in order to quickly find patient's medications.
- Stay informed about pharmaceutical products and services to better assist patients.
Experience
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred, with a focus on retail pharmacy experience.
- Familiarity with patient service protocols is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Experience with customer service is a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
