We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing service, installation, and inspections of our low voltage systems. These systems include, fire alarm, camera systems, data, access control, intercom, nurse call, and other systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be able to multitask effectively, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate must also be able to utilize our service and inspection software platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Manage supplies and equipment.
- Perform installation, service work, and inspections of our low voltage systems
- System networking and or programming
- Be able to lift over 50 pounds
- Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely manner.
- Complete required paperwork on a daily basis.
- Provide technical assistance to other team members and customers.
- Communicate well with other team members and customers.
- Track and report job status
Qualifications:
- Computer proficient including MS Windows OS, MS Office Suite (MS Word and MS Excel), Intermediate or better skills with Excel, Accurate data entry skills, Information gathering and web searching.
- 3 Years of industry experience
- Manufacturer's certification with Autocall, Simplex, Notifier, EST, Siemens, or Gamewell FCI is preferred.
- Access control, CCTV, or Nurse Call certifications are preferred.
- Experience with service management software is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work.
- Strong math skills and attention to detail
- Self-sufficient, self-motivated, and able to work with little or no supervision.
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and reliable
- NICET II or greater in fire alarm systems is preferred.
- Ability to pass drug screening
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check
Job Type: Full-time
