What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Technician position at SFS Group USA, Inc.?
SFS Group USA Inc is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team on dayshift in Wyomissing, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality processes, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to use various testing equipment to perform thorough inspections.
Objectives
Conduct incoming inspections on all product received or manufactured by SFS
Gain expert knowledge of all test equipment in the Quality Lab
Principal duties
Responsible for assisting and substituting for other quality inspectors and QA Coordinator-FS as needed.
Has the authority to block products which do not conform with specifications
Actively helps to improve Quality Processus
Suggests continuous improvement and corrective actions to improve product and process quality
Carry out testing on finished product and semi-finished products in accordance with the quality system
Working knowledge of SAP
Become knowledgeable in the use of all testing equipment in the Lab.
Accepts or rejects product per PLK requirements
Document lab reports for each test order requested
Document test results both physically and electronically as applicable
Maintain all laboratory, quality control, product test reports and other department quality records for the Wyomissing site
Suggest corrective actions to improve quality
Participate in special product and process specific testing as needed
Carries out prototype and initial sample tests in accordance with relevant procedures
Reports all product which does not conform to drawings and specifications to the QA Manager
