We are a growing accounting firm seeking a highly capable, high-autonomy accounting and bookkeeping professional to support a portfolio of business clients.
We are looking for someone who can independently own client books from cleanup through monthly close, communicate professionally with clients, identify issues proactively, and operate with minimal supervision.
The right candidate will be both a strong individual contributor and someone capable of supporting junior team members as needed.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage bookkeeping and full-cycle accounting responsibilities for multiple business clients
- Own month-end close processes including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reasonableness
- Identify accounting inconsistencies, cleanup issues, and process improvement opportunities
- Communicate directly with clients in a professional and service-oriented manner
- Support and collaborate with junior staff as needed
- Assist CPA team during tax season and on special projects
Qualifications
- 7 years of hands-on full-cycle bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping conventions
- Experience independently managing client books with minimal oversight
- Proven ability to handle cleanup / catch-up accounting work
- Comfortable managing multiple clients and shifting priorities
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (equivalent high-level practical experience will absolutely be considered)
