What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Appraiser position at SFBCIC?
Essential Functions
• Prepare damage estimates and/or appraisals on automobiles within assigned territory and issue payment as
required.
• Reinspect damaged vehicles for appropriate repairs and process supplements to a conclusion.
• Travel to various counties in the state for the purpose of estimating and/or appraising damage to automobiles
as requested.
• Assist in setting up and operating a drive-in claims service when needed following a catastrophe situation
both in and outside of the state.
• Assist in the training of the field adjusters in areas of physical damage.
• Decide time and labor for auto repair.
• Decide if parts repairable or if must be replaced.
• Decide if vehicles repairable or are a total loss.
