Healthy Pets Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Associate Veterinarian to join our team in San Francisco. This is a part-time, on-site role with regular coverage needed on Mondays and Saturdays, with additional days available for candidates seeking expanded hours or a fuller schedule.
Healthy Pets is a well-established small animal practice that combines conventional and integrative veterinary medicine in a supportive, client-focused environment. We are looking for a veterinarian who is passionate about high-quality patient care, strong client communication, and working closely with an experienced veterinary team.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in dogs and cats
- Perform routine wellness exams and preventative care services
- Administer vaccinations and prescribe medications as needed
- Perform surgical procedures if comfortable doing so
- Communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans, preventative care, and overall pet wellness
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records
- Collaborate with the veterinary and support staff to provide exceptional patient care
- Uphold a strong commitment to animal welfare and evidence-based veterinary medicine
Qualifications
- D.V.M. or V.M.D. degree from an accredited institution
- Active California veterinary license in good standing
- Experience in small animal medicine preferred
- Surgery experience is welcomed but not required
- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health conditions
- Strong preventative care skills, including wellness exams and vaccinations
- Excellent communication and client education abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a medium-paced clinical environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset
- Commitment to compassionate patient care and continuing professional development
**Part-Time Veterinarians must work at least 7 days over two weeks to qualify for full time benefits.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
