What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valet Parking Attendant position at Sf City Parking?
Now hiring Valet Parking Attendants across our San Francisco garages. Full-time, part-time and on-call shifts available. No valet experience required — we train.
Pay and tips
$19.61–$22.00 per hour to start, depending on experience, plus cash and credit card tips. Cash tips are split between the attendants on duty at the end of each shift. Credit card tips are pooled by location and day, shared based on the hours you actually worked, and paid with your regular paycheck. You get the full tip the customer left — we never deduct processing fees, and no manager or supervisor shares in the tip pool. Tips are always on top of your hourly wage.
What you'll do
- Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Safely park and retrieve vehicles — automatic and manual transmission
- Inspect vehicles for existing damage before and after parking
- Keep accurate records of vehicle locations and keys
- Keep the garage and staff areas clean and presentable — sweeping and general cleaning duties
- Follow all safety protocols
What we're looking for
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Able to drive a manual transmission (stick shift)
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Comfortable using a work smartphone for work tasks
- Reliable and punctual
- Available for some weekend and holiday shifts
- Able to move quickly between the valet stand and vehicles during busy periods, and be on your feet for a full shift
What you get
- Paid sick leave, per San Francisco ordinance
- Free monthly parking ( up to 1 compact vehicle)
- Flexible scheduling — full-time, part-time and on-call
- Paid training
- Opportunities to advance to supervisor and management roles
How hiring works
Apply, and we'll call you — usually within a day or two. If it's a fit, you'll come to one of our garages for a short interview and a test drive, including a manual car. We often make offers on the spot.
