What are the responsibilities and job description for the Afterschool Program Site Coordinator position at Seymour Osman Community Center?
Do you enjoy working with youth? Do you like teaching outside of the box? Are you looking to help youth learn, grow, and experience new things? The Dover Housing Authority is looking for you to join the Seymour Osman Community Center’s team of afterschool professionals.
The SOCC operates a 21st Century Community Learning Center afterschool program for elementary aged students in grades K through 4. The program offers four main components: snack, homework help, enrichment opportunities, and recreation time. The goals of the program are to help youth improve their academic performance, gain leadership skills, and have a better chance at competing in life.
The successful candidate will:
- Assist with hiring staff for the afterschool program
- Build positive relationships with youth in grades K-4
- Monitor, maintain, and implement academically linked youth programs
- Coordinate and facilitate family events
- Meet regularly with school day staff
Education and Experience
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in social work, education, family studies, or a related field.
- Must have 2 years of experience working with youth
- Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
Pay: $20.00 per hour
