What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Production Worker - 2nd shift position at Seymour of Sycamore?
4-day work week = Monday - Thursday
Second shift hours: 3:00pm - 1:30am
Job Responsibilities: Responsible for placing products into their correct packaging and preparing them for shipment using various types of equipment.
Job Duties:
- Places finished products into containers by mechanical means or by hand, as specified by the customer.
- Verifies products in containers are correct.
- Removes completed or defective products or materials, placing them on such as conveyors or moving them to specified areas.
- Marks and labels containers.
- Ensures each container is sealed and labeled.
- Ensures containers are damage free prior to their leaving the line.
- Moves completed containers for loading.
- Reviews packing lists as needed.
- Maintain database of packages.
- Fills out forms and papers to record measurement, weight, and product count.
- Keeps track of inventory on assigned line.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. The ability to follow written and verbal direction required. Basic computer skills necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
