Responsibilities
- Assemble electrical panels and electro-mechanical components following detailed blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and soldering equipment to perform precise mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprint specifications to ensure accurate component installation.
- Perform surface mount technology (SMT) assembly on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Build electrical wiring harnesses and assemble electrical panels in accordance with IPC 610 standards for electronic assemblies.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using multimeters (Ohmmeters), schematics, and engineering troubleshooting methods.
- Conduct testing of electro-mechanical systems to verify functionality, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain detailed documentation of assembly processes, test results, and repair activities for quality control purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience in electronics assembly, PCB manufacturing, or electrical panel building within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematic reading, interpretation of blueprints, and following blueprint specifications accurately.
- Hands-on experience with surface mount technology (SMT), soldering techniques (including IPC 610 standards), and wire harness assembly.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical wiring practices, and mechanical assembly processes.
- Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, calipers, power drills, and other machining tools efficiently.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical components including motors, sensors, relays, switches, and actuators.
- Basic understanding of engineering troubleshooting methods to diagnose issues quickly and effectively in complex systems.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining processes or mechanical assembly is a plus.
