Overview
SECG, LLC currently looking for a mechanical designer or design engineer to assist in developing fixtures and tooling for medium to large scale manufacturing. Individuals will need to have a working knowledge on press fits, bearings, tolerancing, and other related mechanical design elements. Autodesk Inventor knowledge is preferred, but working knowledge in Solidworks, Creo, SolidEdge, acceptable.
Seeking candidates who live within 50 miles of Oklahoma City, OK. No relocation available.
Work schedule: 40 hours per week, onsite, no remote work.
Interview is in-person interview with an administered skills test.
No interview travel compensation.

This is not an architectural position nor a land survey position.
Job Responsibilities
- Design of fixtures and/or tooling based on design requirements.
- Develop 3D part and assembly models to verify and validate design.
- Generate 2D part and assembly drawings to detail design for manufacture.
- Interpret and review engineering drawings.
- Read and apply tolerances.
- Application of industrial materials such as common steel and aluminum grades.
- Understand and follow company established CAD standard procedures.
- May be assigned specific responsibilities within the office, as needed.
Qualifications
- A 2 year degree in drafting technology, or 4 year technical/engineering degree, or equivalent experience in manufacturing, industrial products/machines, oil and gas equipment.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering and/or technical drawings.
- Proficient with industrial CAD package. Autodesk Inventor preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong computer skids with drafting emphasis, detail-oriented, self-starter, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Must be an effective communicator and work within a small team in a manufacturing environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
- Will be required to assist with general engineering support during, which may require lifting and handling components that range from 5 lbs to 50 lbs.
