About the Role
Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines and related manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. This role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control-system issues; performing preventive maintenance; replacing or repairing defective components; and minimizing equipment downtime. Our CNC Maintenance Technicians work closely with production and operations teams to support manufacturing goals, improve machine performance, and ensure equipment meets quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Installation of a wide variety of machine tools and other manufacturing equipment
- Diagnose, plan, and execute repair on machine tools in a thorough and efficient manner
- Perform preventive maintenance on machine tools and other manufacturing equipment
- Read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams to diagnose and perform repairs
- Strong understanding of machine tool programming languages and PLC
- Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example)
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement to enhance efficiency and organization (6s)
- Work well within a team to achieve minimal downtime of manufacturing equipment
Preferred Skills
Proven experience performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on CNC machine tools
Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and controls
Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards preferred
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
