Pay: $18.00 per hour
Position Overview:
SARC is dedicated to providing compassionate support and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault. We are seeking an organized and empathetic Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with strong administrative skills and a commitment to upholding the confidentiality and dignity of our clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Office Management:
- Perform general office duties such as answering phones, managing email correspondence, and greeting visitors.
- Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring that necessary materials are stocked and functioning.
Client Support:
- Schedule and coordinate appointments for clients with counselors, advocates, and other support services.
- Provide clients with information about services and resources available at the center.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation in compliance with legal and organizational standards.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and data entry as required.
Administrative Support:
- Assist with preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations for staff and board meetings.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and manage office documentation.
Event Coordination:
- Support the planning and execution of workshops, training sessions, and community outreach events.
- Coordinate logistics such as venue arrangements, materials preparation, and attendee communication.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with counselors, advocates, and other team members to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of center policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree or relevant certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in a social services or nonprofit environment.
- Experience in a sexual assault center or similar setting is a plus.
Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other office software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a sensitive and diverse environment.
