About UsSexton Lawn and Landscapes is a growing lawn and landscape company serving residential and commercial properties across South Alabama. Our Lawn Health department delivers agronomic programs built for the Gulf Coast: sandy soils, heat, humidity, and heavy rain. We cover centipede, St. Augustine, zoysia, and bermuda turf. We're looking for a solid, dependable Spray Technician to join a team that takes pride in doing the work right.

What You'll Do

• Apply fertilizers, pre- and post-emergent herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and soil amendments to residential and commercial properties on a scheduled route
• Operate and calibrate spray equipment, including ride-on sprayer-spreaders, spray trucks, backpack sprayers, and granular spreaders
• Mix products accurately to label rates using company rate charts and tank-mix guidelines
• Identify common turf weeds, insects, and disease issues, and report what you see to your Field Manager
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip equipment checks and keep equipment clean and maintained
• Document every application accurately: products, rates, and property notes
• Handle and store chemicals safely and follow all label, PPE, and state regulatory requirements
• Communicate professionally with clients on site and leave every property better than you found it
• Help with seasonal services such as aeration, overseeding, and weed service calls as needed
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 1 year of lawn care or turf application experience preferred
• Alabama applicator certification or registration preferred, or willingness to obtain it (we'll support you)
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• Basic understanding of warm-season turf is a plus
• Reliable, on time, and able to work independently on a route
• Able to work outdoors in South Alabama heat and humidity, walk long distances, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Attention to detail. Rates, labels, and records matter here.
