Lawn Health Technician

Landscape Industry | Customer‑Focused | Growth‑Oriented

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $25.00/hour (depending on experience)

Position Overview

The Lawn Health Technician assists with chemical application services to enhance the growth, health, and overall vigor of both newly installed and existing lawns. This role also plays an important part in supporting company growth by re‑enrolling existing customer contracts through exceptional service and identifying opportunities to pursue new customer contracts.

This position works closely with the Crew Leader or Service Manager and is ideal for someone who combines technical lawn care knowledge with strong customer communication skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately mix and apply granular and liquid lawn care materials
• Maintain detailed and accurate application records for billing and compliance purposes
• Collaborate with the Crew Leader or Service Manager to ensure customer records are complete and correct
• Provide written and verbal lawn evaluations and treatment recommendations to customers
• Develop customized, customer‑specific lawn care plans
• Support the re‑enrollment of existing customers and pursue new service contracts
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work sites
• Properly maintain and care for company vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental stewardship
• Perform additional duties as assigned
  
  

Education, Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of landscape or turf care industry experience required
• Degree in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, or a related field preferred but not required

Working Conditions

Work Environment

• Outdoor work environment
• Extended work hours during peak seasonal demand
• Physically demanding role requiring regular lifting, standing, walking, and repetitive motion
• Exposure to extreme heat and cold, loud noise, air pollution, dust, pollen, insects, and other natural outdoor elements
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, tools, and sharp objects
