Shipping Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse team.

Responsibilities

SHIPPING

A. Create shipping orders, one account at a time, as product becomes available on the Shipping Queue.

B. Distribute picking paperwork to Order Pickers by account.

C. When picking is completed, the paperwork is returned to the Shipping Clerk and the system is updated with the specific location and quantity information indicated by the Order Picker.

D. Some customers use 3rd party logistics companies to handle their shipping. At this point, the information can be loaded into the specific portal or email can be sent to request a pickup.

E. Final shipping documents are then created, as well as shipping labels, and placed on the appropriate pallet.

F. For LTL orders, the customer specified carrier is contacted and pickup is scheduled.

G. Small parcel orders can be picked and processed through the UPS shipping station.

H. UPS tracking numbers are then added to the first tab of the Shipper in the box marked "Tracking no(s)".

I. All working copies are filed by account

J. Orders are confirmed by end of day

SUB-CONTRACT

A. Parts are delivered from the main plant or purchased from an outside supplier.

B. Jobs are handled in the order of "HOT" parts first, then any yellow travelers, and finally partial orders are processed when necessary.

C. Complete the "Sub-contract Worksheet"

D. Look up existing PO. Create new PO if necessary.

E. Create the shipper, packing list, and print. Also gather any required gauges or packing supplies.

F. Tag pallets for that are ready for local delivery.

G. Create BOL for LTL orders.

H. Call LTL carrier, wrap pallets, and move to outbound staging area.

I. When parts return, create a receiver

J. Call for inspection

K. Tag pallets for the next operation.

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
