Health Dept Public Health Registered Nurse

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a Public Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Health Department team. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated professional with a strong working knowledge of nursing practices and procedures and a demonstrated ability to meet established standards of care. This role is responsible for maintaining public health nursing standards, assessing immunization needs across the lifespan, and effectively managing health and safety concerns, including patient inquiries and complaints.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Active Kansas RN License with 1-3 years of working experience
- Prior experience in a healthcare or administrative role is beneficial
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds

**Responsibilities:**
- Must be able to maintain HIPPA compliance
- Completes all required charting in client charts
- Conducts comprehensive health histories in accordance with program requirement
- Administers injections and provides medications as ordered and assesses immunization status
- Performs laboratory testing and screening in compliance with established protocols and proper equipment usage
- Enforces and maintains compliance with all federal, state and local laws and ordinances
- Follow privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

**Salary:**
