Responsibilities

The instructor will engage in a variety of learning support and institutional practices, advising, and mentoring of students in agronomy and horticulture. The instructional focus is crop and food production and includes operating on campus greenhouses, growing tunnels, and outdoor growing areas. Responsibilities also include development and establishment of plant growth activities practicum/ internship programs. Faculty is expected to demonstrate and maintain competence throughout their employment at the college.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Agronomy or related field with 18 graduate hours in Agriculture required. Bachelor’s degree working towards a Master’s degree with employment experience will be considered.

Previous teaching experience and Private Pesticide Applicators License a preferred.

Salary/Benefits

Salary Range: Salary commensurate with education and experience.

Position Status: Full-time, 12 month positions, 248 days

Selection Process

The search committee will conduct all minimum qualification appraisals as set forth on the position announcement and job description and reserve the right to limit the number of interviews granted.
