What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dock Staff position at Seward Boat Rental?
We are looking for capable and friendly mariners to work as our dock staff in Seward Boat Harbor. The primary duties are checking in and out rental fishing and sightseeing boats. Checking boats out in the morning and checking them in, in the evening. This is a split shift. 6am check out. 8pm check in. Approximately 3 hrs morning and evening.
Our ideal dock staff has a near coastal captains license and can run 6 pack sight seeing/wildlife tours and captained sport fishing charters during the day. These may be scheduled in advance or dock staff would be on call and pick up last minute charters if a boat was available.
This position could be structured as a full or more than full time position or be part time with shifts or week split between multiple staff.

- $18 to $25 per hour for Dock Staff based on experience.
- Salary position available for full time.
- $25 to $50 per hour tips for Tour Captains based on experience.
- June 1st to Sept 15. Can be flexible on dates for the right person.
