Job Overview
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Pressing Associate to join our dry-cleaning team in East Terre Haute.
The primary responsibility of this position is pressing and finishing clothing to ensure garments are neat, professionally finished, and ready for our customers.
No prior dry-cleaning or pressing experience is required. We will provide training. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn, follows instructions well, and takes pride in producing consistent, quality work.
This is a long-term part-time opportunity with weekday morning hours, see details below.
Duties
- Press and finish clothing using professional dry-cleaning pressing equipment
- Handle garments carefully and follow proper pressing techniques
- Inspect garments for quality while pressing and finishing
Responsibilities & Expectations
- Arrive on time and maintain dependable attendance
- Be willing to learn proper garment pressing techniques and equipment operation
- Follow instructions, training, and workplace safety procedures
- Work carefully and pay close attention to detail
- Maintain consistent quality while working at an efficient pace
- Handle customers' clothing with care and respect
- Communicate clearly with coworkers and ask questions when needed
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Be able to work independently after training and contribute as part of a team
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Starting at 8:00 AM ET
- Approximately 8:00 AM–12:00 PM at minimum
- Hours may extend beyond 12:00 PM depending on the amount of work that day
- Reliable weekday morning availability is required
Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on position that requires regular movement and standing throughout the workday.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while pressing and handling garments
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with garment pressing
- Ability to bend, reach, and move around the work area as needed
- Ability to safely operate pressing equipment after receiving training
- Comfortable working around the heat and steam produced by professional pressing equipment
