Seeking full-time Purchasing Assistant. Working out of our International Headquarters in Torrance, California. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the management of the inventory planning, purchasing
- Assisting in maintaining item/product database
- Obtaining quotes , delivery, and other terms with our key Asian suppliers/factories and recommending specific suppliers that meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Highly credible and professional interface with company’s key suppliers/factories and capitalizing on their internal design expertise in pursuit of most cost effective design solutions.
- Placing orders and maintaining and monitoring appropriate inventory levels.
- This position highly supports sourcing, product development, and sales.
- Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Bilingual English and Chinese.
- Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Proven to be number and detail orientated, and candidate must be improvement driven.
- Ability to influence others through excellent written/verbal communications, negotiation skills and strong multitasking capability
-Strong time management skills
- Ability to work effectively and independently within a team environment- Import experience a definite plus, but not required
- Organized, attention to detail, and great attitude a MUST!
