Summer Student Ministry Intern
Role: The Summer Student Ministry Intern will serve alongside the student ministry team to help lead, disciple, and care for middle school and high school students throughout the summer. This role is designed to provide hands-on ministry experience in teaching, event planning, discipleship, and relational ministry. The intern will assist with weekly student ministry programming, help lead major summer events, and invest intentionally in students through teaching, leadership, and personal connection. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to grow in ministry, take initiative, and serve faithfully as part of a team.
Position: Seasonal, Part-time (29 hours/week)
Reports to: Leaders of the Internship Program and Student Ministry Team Leader
Compensation: $13 per hour
Responsibilities:
Primary:
1. Help lead and support weekly student ministry gatherings.
2. Assist with large group programming, games, and theme nights.
3. Lead a weekly D-Group Bible study for middle school girls.
4. Help plan and lead Summer Nights, including fully planning two nights and preaching one.
5. Serve in Sunday morning student ministry, including large group and small group leadership.
6. Invest in students through weekly hangouts and relational discipleship.
7. Participate in student ministry team meetings and development opportunities.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Major Events:
1. VBS (June 1–4): Help lead students in serving rising 5th graders.
2. Middle School Camp (June 15–19): Serve as primary point person for middle school girls and leaders.
3. High School Camp (June 24–28): Invest in and help lead underclassmen.
4. Mission Trip (July 11–17): Help lead female students and serve alongside adult leaders.
5. Fall Retreat: Assist with brainstorming and planning.
Development:
This internship includes intentional investment through student team meetings and one-on-one discipleship with an adult in the church.

3. An active member of their local church.
