We are looking for candidates with experience supporting Federal Government contracting offices. This position supports the Research Activities Branch (RAB) in the Office of Procurement at the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC) at Stennis Space Center (SSC) in Stennis, MS. Specifically these positions support the award or administration of Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) contract instruments.

- Hiring Timeframe:** Immediate
- Work Location: ** This position is currently telework, however, the successful candidate needs to be prepared to work on site at the request of the Gov't.
- Responsibilities:
- Provide mid-level procurement assistance.
- Perform tasks which require knowledge and experience in procurement procedures and rules, such as: creating and maintaining procurement files, generating procurement documents, utilizing procurement systems, data entry and reporting.
- Support includes the possibility of providing surge support to other branches in areas like simplified acquisitions and grants.
- Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of related federal government contracts experience required
- Ability to pass a Public Trust background check
- Experience with NASA procurement systems and financial systems are highly desired
- Skills:
- Mid-level knowledge of federal government contracting principles, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision to accomplish assigned tasks
- Comfortable working with files on a SharePoint Site
- Proficient and confidence working with Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint for document preparation
- Proficiency and confidence in learning and with working within IT systems and tools (some PC based; some NASA system based) and proactively reaching out to resolve any computer/systems/tools issues which are dependencies for completing work assignments.
- Familiarity with the most commonly used systems/tools include Service Now (SNOW), Scoped App Solutions, System for Award Management (SAM), Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), SAP Core Financial, Procurement for Public Sector (PPS), SBIR/STTR Electronic Handbook (EHB), and the SBIR/STTR Service Delivery Guide (SDG).
- Actual experience working within a virtual team via telework. NASA principally uses Microsoft Teams for communications and collaboration
