SUMMARY
The Seventh Generation Fund for Indigenous Peoples, Inc. (SGF) is a foundation that provides grants and technical assistance to Indigenous Peoples’ community organizations across the globe through its grantmaking program, and it is fiscal sponsor to more than 30 Native projects. The Assistant to Chief of Staff manages administrative operations for the Chief of Staff and supports the Organizations vision.
STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Chief of Staff
SALARY: $40,000 $45,760 year Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday- 40 Hrs. Wk.
LOCATION: Seventh Generation Fund Headquarters,Eureka, California
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with Chief of Staff to support various initiatives
Maintains CoS calendar and scheduling, organizational calendar and assist with Staff calendar
Assist in General Administration and coordination
Handling phone calls, messages and direct them as necessary
Send and receive emails and respond when necessary
Welcoming and greeting visitors, guests and employees
Assists with preparing and scheduling organization activities, meetings and zoom
Communicates and implements office policies and procedures
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or equivalent
2-5 years’ experience in Executive Administrative role
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and other office tools
Basic Labor and employment law knowledge
Strong written and communication skills
Strong willingness to collaborate and support colleagues
Firm logistical and organizing capacity
Able to travel upon request
Ability to follow policy and procedures
Able to work flexibly and adjust to the changing needs of the organization
Able to adhere to SGF’s confidentiality policy
Positive performance measures-proactive, consistent, timely and reliable
Native American/Indigenous preference honored
