Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Shop Manager / Foreman to lead our service team and oversee daily shop operations. This role combines hands-on mechanical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring repairs are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily workflow of technicians and shop staff
- Assign jobs based on skill level and workload to maximize efficiency
- Diagnose complex mechanical issues and assist technicians as needed
- Ensure all repairs meet quality and safety standards
- Maintain shop productivity and meet turnaround time goals
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate parts ordering when necessary
Qualifications:
- 5 years of automotive repair experience (lead or supervisory role preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- ASE certifications preferred (but not required)
- Handle customer concerns or escalations when needed
