Manager

Responsible for overseeing all operations of the South Park location, including: hiring, training new members of the crew refresh training for veterans, scheduling, performance reviews of all staff, inventory management, maintain operational budget, customer service, and creation of store goals and promotions.

Must be available to work during peak hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Sales, Reporting, and Financial Responsibility

1.     Communicates with leadership team to maintain same practices and secure policy and procedure at all levels of the operation. Communicates store goals to team effectively and motivates others.

2.     Monitors inventory levels and communicates with vendors to maintain business relationships and secure appropriate pricing, in coordination with the Owner. 

3.     Seeks to grow customer base and increase store traffic by creating and leading promotions within and outside the store as well as maintaining functional, efficient, pleasant store environment and high-quality food and beverage offerings.

4.     Seeks to increase sales, monitors weekly and monthly P&L data and works to increase bottom-line profits.

5.     Reports performance information to the Owner.

6.     Helps to organize marketing efforts, including completion of sampling and seasonal promotional goals and events. 

Leadership and Team Organization

1.     Leads and models overall culture, values, mission, and spirit of the company. 

2.     Knowledgeable about the ideals and principles of Seven Seas Roasting Co. and ensures that our story is appropriately conveyed by staff and store environment.

3.     Creates, adjusts, and implements training plans for new employees following the Seven Seas Roasting Co. schedule and materials. Ensures full understanding and regularly observes and coaches staff on their performance, celebrating successes as well as discussing and offering suggestions if more feedback is needed.

4.     With management team, performs scheduled employee reviews and conducts ongoing coaching and training sessions to ensure high levels of performance.

5.     Oversees store staffing levels and assists in hiring and promotion assessments. Organizes labor to ensure adequate staffing.

6.     Conducts regular management meetings to review financial reports, issues related to personnel, upcoming promotions, events, and activities, etc.

7.     Helps to create positive, enthusiastic, and well-trained store culture by providing an informed, honest, and optimistic example for the team. Responds appropriately to ideas, concerns, complaints, and comments from management and staff.

8.     Models proper attendance, punctuality, customer service, and overall attitude.

Quality of Products, Functionality, Safety, and Store Appearance

1.     Oversees and executes effective communication between baristas to ensure that beverage and food offerings are fresh, labeled appropriately, and kept well-stocked. 

2.     Guides direction of new menu and seasonal beverage offerings and contributes any skills and ideas for new items.

3.     Ensures that all company and store standards, guidelines, and procedures are communicated and followed by staff at all times. Models all rules and policies and maintains safety features and security of cafés.

4.     Communicates safety standards and hazards to team.

5.     Ensures shops and mobile unit appearance is maintained at all times, including cafés inside and outside seating area.

6.     Ensures proper equipment functionality and performs or enforces completion of regular equipment maintenance. Utilizes resources and available information to troubleshoot when equipment errors occur; responds in a timely and reasonable fashion to problems.

7.     Maintains, models, and coaches on speed of service and organizes employees to maintain the most efficient floor plan, bar flow, and deployment for serving customers.


Required skills include barista, knowledge of coffee, standing for up to 8 hours, lifting <50 pounds. Suggested skills include: Excel, Homebase, Slack.
