About the Role
As a Consultant in the Life Sciences and Medical Device practice at 7 Sages Digital, LLC, you will work with global clients to drive innovation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance compliance through technology-enabled solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, from R&D and regulatory affairs to manufacturing and commercial operations, providing strategic guidance and hands-on support to implement cutting-edge digital initiatives. You will leverage your understanding of the industry’s regulatory environment, complex product development lifecycles, and digital transformation trends to advise on technology strategy, solution selection, system implementation, and operational
optimization.
Our Consultants are expected to be intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping clients deliver better healthcare outcomes through technology. This is a full-time position and you are expected to be available during normal business hours for client and internal meetings. Remote work 3 days per week and in-person 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement & Delivery
- Assist in the delivery of technology transformation projects across the Life Sciences and Medical Device value chain (R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, Manufacturing, Commercial).
- Support technology assessments, digital strategy development, and technology roadmap creation tailored to client needs.
- Participate in the design, configuration, and deployment of enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, PLM, QMS, CRM, LIMS) and emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML, IoT, Cloud, Data Analytics).
- Project Management Support
- Contribute to project planning activities, including scoping, budgeting, resourcing, and risk management.
- Assist in developing project deliverables such as business requirement documents, solution design documents, testing plans, and training materials.
- Support project governance and PMO activities to ensure successful, on-time, and on-budget project delivery.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Understand industry regulations (e.g., FDA 21 CFR Part 820, ISO 13485, EU MDR) and ensure technology solutions are designed to meet compliance requirements.
- Assist in conducting validation and verification activities following GxP and Computer Systems Validation (CSV) best practices.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and present findings.
- Build trusted relationships with client personnel and demonstrate an understanding of client business challenges and needs.
- Innovation & Practice Development
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies impacting the Life Sciences and Medical Device industries.
- Contribute to thought leadership, internal knowledge development, and practice growth initiatives (e.g., creating white papers, supporting business development).
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university/college or equivalent experience and 3-5 years of experience in technology consulting role, preferably with exposure to CRM, digital platforms, or enterprise system implementations - OR - equivalent experience working within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device organization in a business, operations, IT, or digital role
- An understanding of commercial functions in life sciences (e.g. field force effectiveness, marketing operations, patient support, or medical affairs)
- Hands-on experience with one or more CRM or digital engagement platforms such as Salesforce (Sales, Service, Marketing, or Health Cloud), Veeva, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Ability to analyze business needs and design strategic, scalable solutions that drive value and enhance the prescriber/patient experience
- Demonstrated success working in cross-functional, collaborative environments with both business and technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable recommendations
- A strategic, analytical mindset paired with strong attention to detail and a passion for innovation in healthcare technology
- Working knowledge of agile or waterfall best practices and experience implementing them
- A willingness to travel onsite to client locations for engagements (up to 30%)
Compensation:
We believe in pay transparency. The annual salary range for this role is $85,000 to $115,000, based on your experience, skills, and qualifications.
This is an exempt position and you will be paid in accordance with the Company’s normal payroll procedures. Subject to the Company’s current annual performance review process, you may be eligible for an increase of your base compensation.
Travel & Reimbursement of Expenses:
Although this is primarily a remote position, you will be expected to travel to client sites up to 30% of the time, depending on project needs, to support project delivery, client engagement, and relationship building. Travel may include both domestic and occasional international assignments.
