Position Summary:

A Forklift Operator is responsible for driving a forklift with confidence and a great awareness of safety. This position consists of unloading raw product, staging finished product, and loading all customers and delivery drivers. As a central player in the business, you will work with the Sales Team, Production Manager, and Hardware Manager. Clear communication with all departments will be of great importance.

This position is also responsible for maintaining a presentable yard for our team and clients. A successful Forklift Driver/ Loader will provide our clients with a 5-star experience by getting them the right products promptly.

Job Roles:

• Load / Unload all incoming trailers.
• Move and stage all finished welded products in the yard.
• Double-checks and makes sure that all products are 100% complete
• Prep loads for the next day.
• Prep Shop for welders for the following day.
• Maintain the front area by weed-eating and mowing, and picking up any trash
• Cutting wood / Grinding and Capping products
• Maintain a clean yard. Always keep the yard presentable and in a professional, clean manner.
• Mowing & Weed-eating 7 acres. In all weather conditions. May take 2 to 3 full shifts to complete (all completed with a self-propelled push mower)
• Use a backpack blower or broom to clean debris off of cement.
• Use a Chainsaw or chop saw to cut dunnage to appropriate lengths. Cut up pallets.
• May be requested to perform any other tasks and help in other positions as needed, including: Sweeping the floors
• Be able to complete or assist with counting inventory

Skills Needed:

• Organized, Organized, Organized
• Ability to communicate well with other team players.
• The ability to read basic work orders.
• The ability to do basic math equations.
• Discipline to double-check all products.
• Forklift experience (Preferred)
• Current Driver's License

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting and loading products up to 75LBS as needed (Not daily).
• Being able to work through lunch and eat when time permits.

Job Details:

• Full-time position.
• Hours are 6:45 am - 4:00 pm.
