Position Overview : Reporting to the President, we are seeking an experienced Freight Broker to drive business development and manage shipments through our brokerage and asset-based operations. This is a fully commission-based position ideal for a motivated professional with prior experience in domestic freight brokerage or forwarding. The role involves proactive outreach, load management, and coordinating the successful movement of freight.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, cold emailing, and relationship building.
- Post shipments to load boards and manage all aspects of load assignment.
- Collaborate with internal teams to move shipments on company asset equipment.
- Negotiate carrier rates to maximize profitability while ensuring competitive pricing.
- Schedule pickups and deliveries, ensuring accurate communication of timelines.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers throughout the entire logistics process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams.
