Responsibilities
- Safely handle dogs of various breeds, sizes, and temperaments using animal restraint techniques and proper handling skills
- Perform pet bathing, brushing, coat styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming services with attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming stations, tools, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, special instructions, and after-care advice
- Heavy lifting of animals or supplies when necessary to ensure safety and efficiency
Experience
- Prior experience in pet grooming or dog handling is highly preferred
- Experience with animal training or equine handling adds valuable skills to the team
- Familiarity with veterinary procedures such as pet nail trimming and coat styling enhances service quality
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and comfortably for extended periods
- Previous kennel experience or pet sitting background is a plus
