What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Veterinary Technician Assistant (overnight shift) position at Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital?
Seven Hills Veterinary Hospital is looking for a FULL TIME veterinary assistant. We are a 24-hour general practice and emergency hospital that cares for companion animals. There are three shift options available for overnights- if any of these work best for you, please consider applying!
- 6 pm- 6 am (three twelve hour shifts)
- 10 pm- 8 am (four ten hour shifts)
- 12 am- 8 am (five eight hour shifts)
- All shifts will include some weekends
All team members must have compassion for pets and their owners and understand the stress that patients (pets) and clients may endure. They understand and respect the human-animal bond. Veterinary Assistants have several functions including assisting the technicians and doctors with surgical procedures, assisting the doctors with examinations and procedures and helping our CSRs care for our clients. This is one of the most diverse roles in our hospital.

Education and Experience Required:
- CVA preferred (not required)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be over 18 years old
- Experience working with or handling animals helpful
- Previous customer service experience helpful
Physical Requirements:
• Capable of the following: standing, sitting, walking, stooping or kneeling, reaching with arms, talking and hearing
• Ability to lift or carry at least 40 pounds without assistance
• Vision close and normal, color vision and depth perception
