We’ve been privately owned since our origin in 1985, and AAHA accredited since 1986. A tour of our hospital is featured on our website . We are seeking an ER DVM for our overnight shift. Shifts run from 7pm to 7am, alternating between 3 and 4 shifts per week. Candidates with the best fit enjoy emergency medicine’s unique challenges and rewards. Private ownership offers us flexibility which is very valuable during this crazy time. We have a collaborative professional team and a positive culture. Creating and fostering that culture is our top priority.
The ER DVM will manage the in-hospital transfers and the incoming urgent and emergent patients. Major and minor surgeries will be managed by the attending DVM, but may also be transferred to a surgeon. The ability to remain calm is a plus.
Denver is one of the most dog-friendly areas, and we are close to the Rocky Mountain Foothills for year-round activities. Many restaurants and breweries have dog-friendly patios. Colorado has 300 days of sunshine a year!
Requirements
Must be licensed to practice in Colorado
Part-time employment may be considered
Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and a drug screen
We have a signing and retention bonus of up to $60,000 which can be customized to the individual along with a monthly stipend for student loan repayment. We offer a production/salary compensation structure with a weekly payroll.
