Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities of a Personal Care Homemaker:
- Personal Care Assistance: Help with bathing, dressing, shampooing, hair care, denture care, shaving (electric razor only), eating, mobility, and transfers (following Elders Affairs’ Personal Care Guidelines).
- Household Support: Aid with light housekeeping tasks, such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, dishwashing, and cleaning kitchens and bathrooms. Assist with laundry, bed changes, and menu planning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Errands and Essential Needs: Pick up prescriptions and handle other necessary errands as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Paid Personal Care Homemaker training program
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation
