Responsibilities
Overnight Supervision & Safety
- Provide active overnight supervision of student dormitories.
- Conduct rounds every 30 minutes to ensure safety and accountability.
- Ensure all students are in their rooms, safe, and following program expectations.
- Address behavioral concerns, noise issues, or policy violations promptly.
- Escalate serious concerns to the Administrator on Duty as needed.
- Build positive relationships with students through mentorship and guidance.
- Provide support during study hall (TOM/ASH) to reinforce accountability and time management.
- Counsel students and promote respectful behavior and community values.
- Collaborate with residential and instructional staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist with recreational activities, group meetings, and program events.
- Help plan and support special events, including the end-of-program banquet.
- Send a daily overnight report to administrative staff each morning.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with team members.
- Participate in staff meetings and nightly check-ins.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe dorm environment.
- Assist with dorm setup, upkeep, and closing responsibilities.
- Ensure all program policies and expectations are consistently enforced.
- Ability to stay alert, responsive, and dependable during overnight hours
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Comfort working with high school students in a residential setting
- A balance of structure, patience, and (yes) a sense of humor
- Ability to work independently while remaining part of a team
- 0–3 years of related experience (youth work, residential programs, education, or human services)
- Valid driver’s license (Class C or D)
Salary : $1,600 - $2,000
