Key Responsibilities of the Travel MedSurg Nurse:
- Provide high-quality nursing care for adult MedSurg patients.
- Monitor patient conditions, recognizing and responding to changes in status.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, surgeons, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and families on procedures, treatment plans, and recovery instructions.
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with hospital standards.
Requirements of the Travel MedSurg Nurse:
- Valid West Virginia Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license.
- Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in MedSurg nursing or related clinical area.
