Job Title: Physical Therapist (Permanent)
Location: Artesia, New Mexico
Pay: $47.32 – $54.80 per hour
Schedule: 5 x 8-hour Day Shifts
Seven Healthcare is currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) for a permanent opportunity in Artesia, NM. Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled evaluation and treatment for patients requiring physical therapy and rehabilitation services.
- Assess functional mobility, motor function, muscular strength, sensation, wound care needs, ambulation, and balance.
- Evaluate patients’ social, environmental, and functional needs to support recovery and independence.
- Develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans with measurable functional goals.
- Deliver patient-centered care while considering psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with APTA guidelines and billing requirements.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers to promote independence and improve outcomes following discharge.
- Develop comprehensive discharge plans including discharge location, level of assistance, and assistive device recommendations.
- Recommend appropriate community resources and follow-up care to support long-term recovery and rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Master’s or Doctoral program in Physical Therapy.
- Eligible for current licensure with the New Mexico State Physical Therapy Board.
- BLS certification required prior to employment.
- One year of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
