- CRM System Oversight: Create and maintain office systems to support all advancement projects and operations.
- Volunteer Program Oversight: Manage the development of volunteer policies and procedures and oversee the implementation of volunteer activities. Develop strong relationships with organizations as future referral sources for volunteers. Provide positive volunteer experience.
- Supervision: Conduct performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and other employment related supervisory functions in accordance with Seven Counties Services’ policies.
- Portfolio Management: Manage and implement portfolio-assigned donor relationships and solicitations.
- Fundraising: Plan and create growth opportunities through a strategic and diversified fundraising plan in accordance with Seven Counties Services’ Dynamic Planning goals and as part of donor cultivation and interaction. Oversee the implementation of key fundraising events. Research public, private, and corporate funders to identify potential sources of funding/donations. Coordinate and assist in planning capital or special fund-raising campaigns.
- Capital Planning: Coordinate and assist in planning capital or special fund-raising campaigns. Work with the Seven Counties Services’ Board of Directors and other leadership members to engage donors and donor prospects in the solicitation process.
- Planned Giving: Promote planned giving through a deliberate program outlined by Seven Counties Services’ Advancement Plan.
- Donor Analysis: Provide regular analysis of donor base and help to create donor strategy. Create and distribute effective donor communications (updating donors on the results of their gifts, news, etc.)
- Organizational Advocacy: Represent SCS brand in public, professional and trade forums.
- Government Relations: Provide support and collaboration to CEO, COO, and others on government relations work as needed or requested.
- Budget Adherence and Management: Prepare a budget and manage departmental expenses within budgetary limits. Prepare the department budget and assume responsibility for cost effective management of the fundraising functions.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to achieve efficiency and effectiveness through the implementation of new and modified approaches, practices, and processes.
- Reporting: Prepare and provide regular reporting to direct supervisor and CEO. Track activities and deliverables.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with all departments and within SCS to achieve goals.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of eight years’ experience in professional fundraising, marketing, or community relations.
- Proven track record of creating positive revenue flow as evidenced by effective marketing and external affairs plans and measurable KPIs.
- Position has no unusual physical demands.
- Typical office environment.
- Involves discomforts from continual use of video display terminal.
