The Facilities Assistant supports the Operations Department by maintaining clean, safe, and functional environments throughout the facility, including rooms, restrooms, and outdoor areas. This includes performing general maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and other assigned duties critical to client comfort and safety.
Facilities Assistant Duties:
- Support the Operations Department in maintaining client rooms, shared buildings, shared areas, and outdoor spaces.
- Perform routine cleaning, painting, basic repairs, and general maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Report facility maintenance concerns and assist with solutions to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Work collaboratively with the operations services team to respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Required Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, and spreadsheet software.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D (General Educational Development)
Certificates and Licenses:
- Current CPR and First Aid certificate
- Current TB test
- Valid driver's license
- Fingerprint Clearance Card
