Senior Estimator - Commercial Construction

Sevan Multi-Site Solutions is seeking a Senior Estimator / Preconstruction Lead to support national construction programs across the restaurant (QSR), grocery, retail, and government sectors.

This role plays a critical leadership position within Sevan’s preconstruction team, partnering with operations, clients, and trade partners to deliver accurate, strategic pricing for both high-volume multi-site programs and larger, more complex commercial construction projects.

The ideal candidate is an experienced estimator who enjoys leading preconstruction efforts, analyzing risk, and collaborating closely with operations teams to develop competitive pricing strategies.

Work Conditions & Travel

This is a hybrid role based in our Plano, TX corporate office. Occasional travel (10–15%) may be required for site walks, project meetings, or client coordination. Relocation assistance is available for candidates interested in relocating to the Plano area.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead estimating efforts for multi-site construction programs and larger complex commercial projects
• Develop conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, GMP pricing, and hard bids
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and evaluate subcontractor pricing for scope gaps, exclusions, and risk
• Prepare and distribute subcontractor bid packages and manage trade partner outreach
• Analyze project risks, site conditions, and market factors to support pricing strategy
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal operations teams throughout the preconstruction process
• Participate in value engineering, bid leveling, and pricing strategy discussions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with national and regional trade partners
• Utilize estimating tools including On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Togal.AI, and Buildertrend
• Identify cost trends, efficiencies, and process improvements across program work
• Mentor junior estimators and support estimating consistency across the team
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• 8–10 years of commercial construction estimating experience
• Experience estimating multi-site construction programs or rollout projects
• Experience leading estimates for larger or more complex commercial construction projects preferred
• Background estimating projects such as:
• Restaurant / QSR construction
• Retail or grocery developments
• Government or institutional projects
• Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and trade partner scopes
• Experience managing multiple estimates simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Togal.AI, Buildertrend, or similar tools
• Strong collaboration skills working with operations, project management, and business development teams

Pay & Benefits: The anticipated compensation range for the position is $115,000 - $140,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurances, flexible paid time off, paid holidays, sick time, and a matching 401K plan.
