Project Manager, Retail Construction

About The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to support large-scale retail construction and remodel programs for a leading big-box grocery client. In this role, you’ll act as an extension of the client’s design and construction team, leading end-to-end project delivery across multiple active retail sites.

This is a hybrid role based in Bentonville, Arkansas, with periodic travel (25-30%) to project locations. You’ll be part of a high-performing program management team, managing multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced, operational retail environments.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• On-Site project management of construction activities
• Directs and coordinates the activities of project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Proactively communicates project related issues directly with Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
• Examines construction documentation including drawings, schedules, and scopes to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Reviews bid results, specifications, test and progress reports, and other project information necessary to gain complete familiarity with the project.
• Confirms and verifies permitting requirements related to the project or program.
• Directly manages and monitors project work in the field.
• Diligently manages change orders to projects.
• Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
• Prepares and provides weekly status reports for projects.
• Proactively identifies and solves or elevates project issues related to cost, schedule, safety, or qualify.
• Represents the company in project meetings.
• Develops and maintains relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors to help develop new opportunities.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year degree in an accredited construction related program or equivalent; or
• 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience managing retail construction projects, ideally within grocery or big-box environments
• Strong understanding of multi-site program management
• Knowledge of construction processes including pre-construction, permitting, scheduling, and closeout
  
  

Pay & Benefits

The anticipated compensation range for the position is $105,000 to $130,000, is based on a full-time schedule, market and business conditions, and is commensurate on individual education, qualifications, and experience.
