Responsibilities
- Offer bereavement support and hospice care to patients and their families during difficult times
- Provide spiritual counseling tailored to individual needs, respecting diverse beliefs and backgrounds
- Lead religious services, prayer sessions, and community events to promote spiritual well-being
- Deliver educational presentations on faith-based topics and facilitate group discussions
- Mentor staff, patients, and families to help navigate emotional and spiritual challenges
- Assist in crisis intervention situations with sensitivity and professionalism
- Plan and coordinate religious or community events that foster connection and support
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate spiritual care into overall treatment plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of counseling sessions and spiritual activities
Experience
- Proven experience in bereavement support, hospice care, or pastoral counseling
- Strong background in teaching, public speaking, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities within faith-based or community organizations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen empathetically and convey messages effectively
- Skilled in writing reports, creating educational materials, and event planning
- Experience in crisis management, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention techniques
- Knowledge of Christian counseling principles with the ability to mentor others effectively
- Ability to manage sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion
