Duties

• Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including manual transmission tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
• Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
• Execute route driving with precision to meet delivery schedules within the local area.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
• Verify shipment accuracy, document deliveries, and maintain detailed logs of all trips and cargo movements.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delivery updates, or any vehicle issues.
• Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all safety protocols during every shift.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks and various types of commercial vehicles such as flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks.
• Proven truck driving experience with a focus on route delivery within local areas.
• Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or other equipment as needed.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial drivers.
• Strong physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks and long periods of driving.
