We are currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to add to our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate the CNC machine daily, including fixturing, running programs, and maintenance.
- Use CAD/CAM software to program 3-axis milling machines to machine complex metallicstructures and components. 4th and 5th Axis experience are a bonus.
- Design complex fixturing.
- Select tooling and maintain the tool library.
- Support the Applications Team (R&D) with DFM (design for manufacturing).
- Assist with the procurement of additional milling/manufacturing equipment.
- Operate auxiliary manufacturing equipment (bandsaw, furnace, media blast, etc.) while maintaining the shop in a clean and organized condition.
Qualifications:
Required
- 10 years of combined experience operating and programming CNC machinery
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Work effectively with cross-functional and multidisciplinary team environment.
- Travel up to 10%.
Preferred
- Associate degree or above in engineering disciplines.
- Experience with a variety of materials (aluminum, stainless steels, titanium and nickel-based alloys, etc.)
- Experience with Autodesk Fusion/Solidworks CAM
- Experience in machining metal additive-manufactured parts
- Experience with Haas Equipment
- Experience of working in commercial metal AM manufacturing facilities (service bureaus,
manufacturing divisions, laboratories, etc.) is strongly preferred.
