Summary
Seubert is looking to add personable, driven, and goal-oriented consultant to join our Surety Bonds sales team. Ideal candidates must work well under pressure and be willing to take risks. Individuals who have a “hunter” mentality, that are comfortable cold-calling prospects and building relationships from scratch, who also have a hunger for success will go far. Additional qualities should include self-discipline, persistence, resilience, and grit. In this position, which falls under the direction of the President, you will create and maintain a book of business by soliciting, developing, marketing, and selling new and renewal business in accordance with applicable state insurance regulations for all product lines; while working closely with account managers to handle your clients’ needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a network of prospects by various methods including but not limited to cold calling, referrals, industry and special interest groups, in addition to actively prospecting new business opportunities by similar methods
- Providing efficient, professional, courteous service to clients in conjunction with Surety Service Team
- Contact and qualify prospective clients and explain features and merits of policies offered, recommending amount and type of coverage based on analysis of prospect's circumstances
- Review overall financials with Managing Partner and Underwriting Consultants
- Participate in renewal activities with Managing Partner, Underwriting Consultant, or Bond Account Manager
- Anticipate future needs and call on established clients to renew and upgrade accounts
- Develop long-term relationships with clients and carrier representatives
- Meet or exceed sales quota goals
- Maintain insurance license(s)
Licenses/Experience:
- B2B Outside Sales Experience Required
- Property & Casualty Insurance License Preferred
- Valid State Driver's License Required
