We’re looking for an experienced Industry Consultant to join our growing team. This role is front line support for Healthcare Billing and EVV in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities healthcare space.
In joining our growing business you’ll be responsible for solving challenging client and organizational hurdles as we scale. This is a great opportunity to become a key member of a growing Healthcare technology company.
This is a 100% remote position. SETWorks is based in North Kansas City, MO and offers office space there. We do have all team members visit the home office 1-2 times per year for company building events (conferences, holiday parties). Travel is required to attend these events.
What You’ll Be Supporting
- Billing – You will be the front line support for our clients’ Billing questions and issues (claims, invoicing, eBilling/EDI submissions, payer setup, rejections, and reconciliation).
- EVV (Electronic Visit Verification) – You will be the front line support for EVV: visit capture, aggregator connections, exceptions, and helping clients stay compliant with state EVV requirements.
Responsibilities
- Front Line Support – You will fully take on front line support for Billing and EVV for SETWorks. You are the first responder for client questions, issues, and tickets in these areas.
- Customer Facing – This is a heavily customer-facing role. You will be on calls, emails, and tickets with clients every day.
- Troubleshoot & Resolve – Diagnose Billing and EVV issues, resolve what you can on the spot, and clearly document and escalate the rest to the right team (Development, Implementation, etc.).
- Own the Ticket – You will manage your tickets from start to finish, send timely updates, and follow up through to resolution so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Become the Expert – You will learn the SETWorks platform, Billing/EDI workflows, and EVV requirements deeply enough to be the go-to person clients trust.
- Client Education – Walk clients through how-to questions and best practices so they get more value out of the product.
- Voice of the Customer – Identify trends in the issues you see and bring them back to the team so we can continuously improve the product and reduce future tickets.
- Documentation – Help build and maintain support articles, internal notes, and knowledge base content for Billing and EVV.

Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience in a customer-facing support, billing, or client success role.
- Healthcare Billing knowledge – Strong familiarity with claims, invoicing, eBilling, EDI – Electronic Data Interchange X12 (837P, 837I, 835, etc), payers, and the revenue cycle.
- EVV knowledge – Understanding Electronic Visit Verification concepts and/or state EVV programs and aggregators.
- You must LOVE working with customers, understanding what they need, and helping them get there.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. You can explain a technical issue in plain language.
- Organization & Time Management – You are very organized and can manage and prioritize multiple open issues at once.
- Positive attitude, highly energetic, and strong soft skills.
- Wants to own something and be the expert in their area.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Optional / Nice to Haves
- Direct experience with eBilling / EDI configuration or support.
- Direct experience with EVV systems (Sandata, HHAeXchange, CareBridge, etc.)
- Experience in the disability services, home care, or behavioral health space.
- Knowledge of using ticketing / project management systems.
- Basic knowledge of SQL or reading data to investigate issues.
- Experience with SETWorks or a similar Healthcare / EHR management platform.
