What You Will Do: Dual Responsibilities
- Warehouse Operations & Inventory (Primary Focus)
- Receiving & Inspection: Accurately receive, inspect, and verify all incoming materials against purchase orders (POs) and packing slips
- Material Flow: Perform timely and accurate put-away of inventory and execute material picking and staging for project kits and manufacturing orders
- Shipping: Prepare all outgoing shipments, including professional packaging, labeling, and coordination with freight carriers, generating all necessary shipping documents
- Inventory Control: Execute daily and weekly cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and support full physical inventory counts to maintain high inventory accuracy (KPI target 98%)
- Safety: Safely operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jacks) and strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Procurement & Administrative Support (Trained Focus)
- PO Tracking: Under the Purchaser's guidance, track open purchase orders, follow up on delivery dates with vendors, and confirm acknowledgments
- Vendor Communication: Serve as a professional liaison to vendors to resolve basic shipment issues, such as missing documentation or minor delays
- Data Entry: Accurately enter and update purchasing data, lead times, and vendor information within our ERP/inventory system
- Documentation: Assist with the administrative processing of vendor invoices, quotes, and maintenance of the vendor database
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics environment
- Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and prior experience with an ERP or Inventory Management System is highly desirable
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to frequently lift and move material up to 50 pounds
- Certification: Forklift operator certification preferred (or the ability to obtain it immediately upon hire)
